Sherwood Park Ice Cream Spring Social

When: Sunday, June 7th, 3-5pm
Where: Sports Field, Bethel Lutheran Church, 298 Bethel Dr, Sherwood Park

Join us for our Spring Social! We welcome both WISDOM families and those considering home schooling with WISDOM this Fall. We will provide ice cream treats (please email dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate). We will have access to bouncy houses, the sports field and equipment where we can play volleyball, soccer, basketball and carnival games. Please wear appropriate clothing for these activities. 

Please bring: Chairs or blankets for seating, water bottles, sun protection/weather gear

CLT (College Entrance Exam & Grade 11-12 Assessment) June

The Classical Learning Test (CLT) is a post-secondary entrance exam, created as an alternative to the SAT and recognized at many post-secondary institutions across the United States, and a growing number in Canada.

• For students in grades 11-12
• College entrance exam
• Online format
• Length: 2hrs (plus up to 30 mins proctor instructions)
• Free and unlimited score sharing
• CLT partner colleges offer over $100 million in scholarships

Basics & Intermediate Ballroom Weekend - Lethbridge Area B E1052

When:
Basics: June 12, 1:00–9:30 p.m. — bring a packed supper
Intermediate: June 13, 9:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. — bring a bag lunch, and a main dish plus a salad or dessert for the potluck supper

Ball: June 13, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Please bring a change of clothes for the ball. Semi-formal to formal attire.

Where: Raymond Agricultural Society Heritage Centre (The Barn), 98E Park Street, Raymond, Alberta

Want the full ballroom experience? Register for both workshops together and enjoy the best of both worlds. You will learn the basics—such as the waltz, rumba, foxtrot, and jive—while also strengthening your skills and adding new steps along the way. Instructors Mike and Michele Barter guide students through the fundamentals and then help them progress to additional dances, including the cha-cha and samba.

These workshops reinforce ballroom etiquette and the life skills that grow from practicing courtesy. Students and parents alike benefit from training in social graces, as well as the opportunity to spend time with other homeschooling families.

By registering for both events together, you secure your place in the full program and enjoy a seamless progression from introductory to more advanced dances. Generations of homeschoolers have learned with Mike and Michele—and now you can too.

This is not a drop-off program. Students must be accompanied by an adult to participate.

Open to non-WISDOM families; WISDOM families receive priority registration.
